My trip to Taiwan was my first time ever to Asia, and what a fabulous destination to start with. This island has so much to offer, from the energy of the big city to the serenity of postcard-worthy beaches. I was impressed by the stunning array of landscapes, culture, history, and Taiwanese food.
這趟台灣之旅是我生平第一次到亞洲，從這裡開始真是太棒了。這座島嶼風情萬種，從大城市的活力四射到寧靜、美如明信片的海灘都有。無數絕美的風景、文化、歷史以及台灣美食令我印象深刻。
My experience as a traveler with United States Tour Operators Association member Ritz Tours opened my eyes to all the contrasting wonders of this island nation.
和美國旅遊業協會成員勵馳旅遊的旅遊體驗，讓我對這座島國各種別具特色的奇觀大開眼界。
First stop, Taipei. Fast, bright, and jam-packed, this city had a definite buzz, and it energized me as we visited each site. Don't miss walking the grounds of Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. And if you feel up to it, join in the groups doing tai chi. It's fun!
第一站，台北。步調快速、色彩鮮明且擁擠，這座城市絕對熱鬧嘈雜，我們拜訪每一個景點，台北都讓我感受到滿滿活力。別錯過在中正紀念堂漫步的機會。如果你有興致的話，加入正在打太極的人們吧。很好玩喔!
Next stop, Taipei 101. Behind me is Taipei 101. And when this building was built, it was the tallest in the whole world, at over 500 meters. Now, it's the world's tallest green building, and it also has the fastest elevator, which I'm very excited to take all the way up to the top. It takes only 60 seconds to get to the top, and your ears will pop as you hurtle up the world's fastest elevator. This eco-friendly, iconic work of engineering is just as beautiful from the bottom as it is from the top.
下一站，台北 101。在我身後的是台北 101。這棟建築落成時是世界最高樓，高度超過五百公尺。現在，它是全世界最高的環保綠建築，而且它還擁有速度最快的電梯，我很期待等下要搭那電梯直達頂樓。到頂樓只需要六十秒，你的耳朵在搭全球最快的電梯向上衝時會感到耳鳴。這棟指標性的環保建築作品無論從底部還是頂端欣賞都一樣動人。
And if you think Taipei 101 is moving, well, you're right. It was constructed to withstand typhoons, so the whole building actually moves and sways. But don't worry; the massive damper at the top keeps it balanced no matter which way the winds turn.

And with the famous Din Tai Fung dumplings just below, you'll have easy access to a mouthwatering Michelin-starred lunch. Go dumpling crazy—I did.

Wander the streets of Taipei; each one is so different from the next. And be sure to step inside the Lungshan Temple for a transportive experience.
漫步在台北街頭；每一條街都和下一條大相異趣。一定要記得踏進龍山寺來場心靈昇華的體驗。
This is the Lungshan Temple, and it's a beautiful example of religious tolerance because it was originally built 300 years ago to honor the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, but it also incorporates Taoism. And back here, you can see all the different deities of that religion as well. It also serves as a meeting point for a lot of the local community. People come here to worship, to socialize, and to learn. Incense, people, prayers, deities, it is pure magic inside these walls.

And a trip to admire the impressive selection of artifacts, jewelry, and masterworks of art can be had at the famed National Palace Museum.

And my absolute favorite experience in Taipei were the night markets. All your senses are on hyperdrive in these boisterous markets, especially your taste buds. You can spend hours just window shopping the food stalls and trying all the creative, exotic, and tasty bites offered from hearty to light, sweet to savory. Pick up souvenirs, snap photos, and let yourself be overwhelmed by the awesomeness of Taipei's Shilin and Ningxia night markets.
我在台北最喜歡的經驗就是夜市。在這些人聲鼎沸的市集裡，你的所有感官都受到過度刺激，特別是你的味蕾。你可以花好幾個小時逛逛那些小吃攤，然後嘗試各種創意十足、充滿異國風味又好吃的食物，有的份量誠意十足、有的清爽無負擔，口味甜鹹都有。購買紀念品、拍照留念，讓台北的士林和寧夏夜市的絕妙體驗征服你吧。
More relaxing experiences await if you hop on the train and explore Taiwan's tropical countryside. Thankfully, our USTOA member Ritz Tours gave us the chance to see even more. From the beaches of Hualien to the lush landscape of Taroko National Park to the quaint, narrow streets of the hilltop town Jiufen, there's so much to see and experience throughout the country.

Jiufen is one of my favorite towns that I visited here in Taiwan, and the old street is amazing for shopping and tasting all sorts of treats. When you get tired of that, come here for an incredible lunch with a view.
九份是我在台灣去過最喜歡的城鎮之一，老街是逛街和吃各種點心的很棒去處。累了的時候，來這邊享用一頓搭配美景的美好午餐。
The nearby Gold Ecological Museum is educational and interactive. And you can squeeze through the actual tunnels that gold miners use and learn about the gold era in Taiwan.
And for souvenirs, Yingge gives you the chance to see exquisite handmade pottery, and maybe you can try your hand at making some pottery yourself.
鄰近的黃金博物館具有教育性而且可以互動。你可以擠進開採金礦的礦工們真實使用的隧道，並認識台灣的那段黃金時代。至於紀念品，鶯歌讓你有機會一睹精緻的手作陶器，而且你或許也可以自己試著動手做一些陶器看看。
