Hello, I'm James Bowen, and this Bob the cat. The book that's called Street Cat Named Bob is about how I found this little man here, and he helped change my life when I rescued him and nursed him back to health, and it's all about our little love experiences that we've had over the last few years together.

I found him hiding in my building in my supportive housing program in North London. And after, I nursed him back to health with antibiotics and then plead assistance at the RSPCA. He just never left my side. I tried to let him back on the streets, because I figured he was a stray, but he just never wanted to leave me. So he started following me onto the bus and onto the tube, and after that, we've just been together ever since.

Bob has his own photocard, which has been issued to him by London Underground from the Angel Station, which means that he doesn't have to...well, he doesn't have to pay for his seat anyway, being an animal, but it means that you know, he just shows how unique he is, because I don't see dogs with their own photocards, do you? Whenever I go busking or any kind of work that I do, working on the street, he comes with me and sits by my feet.
