He prepares everything the night before—looks up where he needs to go in the morning and plans out what he's gonna do the next day. Martin also starts planning for trouble and adding about 20 percent extra time into his schedule. He takes into account possible train delays or a line at his favorite coffee shop in the morning.

He keeps them in every room now. Sometimes he also uses a timer to keep him on track with his activities. And all these little changes help him meet his wife on time for a date dinner tonight, and she loves it.
